The Condition of Our Used Skis – Explained Honestly
Every ski you buy from us comes from our own professional rental service in Ischgl and undergoes the same service process as on any rental day: sharpened, hot waxed and safety checked after a maximum of five days of use.
To ensure you know exactly what you're getting, we specify the number of rental days for each ski and assign it a clear condition. Here we explain what each level means – and what really matters when it comes to used skis.
Our four states at a glance
The condition is determined by the rental days and the inspected material - not by estimation, but by documented control in our service center.
The fewer rental days, the closer to new condition. Every condition is technically flawless and safety-checked - the difference lies in the visual signs of use.
Barely driven, looks fresh
These skis were used for only a few days and are virtually indistinguishable from new. The base and edges have just been serviced, and the topsheet is practically flawless.
Seldom used, very well maintained
Skis with a manageable number of skiing days, which are in excellent condition due to our regular maintenance. Slight superficial signs of wear on the topsheet are possible but do not affect performance.
Visibly used, fully functional
These skis have spent some days in a rental fleet and show honest signs of use, which have been repaired during servicing. In terms of performance, they are fully up to par after tuning and waxing. Only the topsheet is no longer entirely visually appealing.
Maximum price advantage, tested functionality
Our most affordable used skis with the most days of use. They visibly bear their history but are inspected just as carefully and checked for safety as any other ski we offer. The topsheet shows signs of wear, and the ski's consistency is diminishing. The edges and base are in good condition due to regular maintenance, but often thinner, which shortens their lifespan
The condition affects the appearance - never the safety
No matter the condition: Every ski is ground with MONTANA Crystal Glide Finish, hot waxed, and the binding is checked according to ISO 11088 on a calibrated testing device. The only difference lies in appearance and price.
