What is structurally eliminated – and why that matters
A visor helmet closes the gap that arises between the helmet and ski goggles: where cold air penetrates, where goggle straps press under helmet edges, where condensation begins. The SIGMA Plus system solves this structurally – not with a care product, not with an additional sealing strip.
The second interchangeable visor makes this advantage unconditional. You are not limited to one light situation. The gap remains closed, no matter which of the two visors is mounted.
MIPS – Rotational protection, even in a visor helmet
The Driver Prime SIGMA integrates the Mips rotational impact protection system (Multi-directional Impact Protection System). The internal system allows a minimal, controlled rotation of the head during an oblique impact and redirects shear forces before they reach the brain in full force. Relevant: The visor system does not change the MIPS effect – the integration is constructively cleanly solved, the weight of the visor is barely noticeable.
All-day fit
Salomon designed the Driver Prime SIGMA Plus for long-term comfort. The fit geometry ensures that no pressure is created even after several hours – neither by the helmet itself nor by the visor system. The second set of the visor duo is not on the head, but in the jacket pocket: That doesn't count.
